The planning fee is non-refundable, but it's credited toward your project if you hire one of the contractors through our platform. Think of it as a deposit that ensures we're working with serious homeowners.
All contractors in our network are verified for licensing (where required), insurance coverage, and undergo background checks. We also review their past work, check references, and monitor ongoing performance including response time, bid quality, and customer feedback.
If none of the three bids work for you, we'll discuss your concerns. Sometimes it's a budget mismatch, sometimes it's scope. We can adjust and re-bid if needed, or help you understand why the bids came in as they did.
Instead of paying everything upfront or upon completion, your payments are tied to specific project milestones (e.g., demo complete, rough-in complete). This protects you by ensuring work is done before payment, and protects the contractor with consistent cash flow.
